Gayatri Projects signs new irrigation order

Gayatri Projects has secured an irrigation contract worth Rs 1,363 crore from the Executive Engineer, Karnataka Neeravari Nigama Limited.

Entailing the execution of lift irrigation system, the project is likely to provide irrigation for an area of 27,462 hectares. The signed contract also includes the maintenance and operation of the irrigation system up to five years, post the commission.

Gayatri Projects Ltd is the flagship company of the Gayatri Group with interests in infrastructure, power, hospitality, real estate and industry. The company has a strong hold in the engineering, procurement and construction market with projects spread across India, also including construction of roads, irrigation and industrial projects.

The company has ongoing irrigation projects signed with the AP/Telangana governments worth Rs 1,778 crore and ongoing road construction projects in Orissa and Bihar of Rs 1,255crore and Rs 926 crore each.
