Ludhiana will get the facility of Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) by the end of the year for industrial, residential and vehicular use, confirmed Kahan Singh Pannu, Director, Mission Tandrust Punjab. Besides Ludhiana, Amritsar and Jalandhar will also get the facility of CNG. As of now, Mohali and Mandi Gobindgarh are availing of the CNG facility. Also, four CNG pumps will be set up in Ludhiana. At present, petrol is priced around Rs 86 per litre and diesel costs around Rs 68 per litre. CNG which costs around Rs 55 per kg, will be much cheaper as compared to these fuel.
