PP Gupta, the present promoter of Techno Electric & Engineering Company (TEECL), is an Honours Graduate in Industrial Engineering with Post-Graduation in Management from Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad. After his initial experience with BHEL and as a Merchant Banker with National Grindlays Bank, he took over TEECL in 1980. He also served as the Vice President of Indian Electricals and Electronics Manufacturers Association (IEEMA) and has more than 35 years of experience including 31 years in the present activity.
With over three decades of rich experience in the power sector, TEECL has emerged as one of the foremost EPC contracting companies in the Indian power sector under the leadership of Gupta. He is well known amongst industry veterans and has excellent relationships with various stakeholders in the industry. He has also been involved in various developmental activities on behalf of industry bodies and Ministry of Power in India. His industry associations include the IEEMA, The Confederation of Indian Industry, IIPW and IIW.
Besides, managing the business, Gupta is actively involved with Oriental Charitable Foundation, a charitable organisation with the objective of helping the underprivileged people of the society by way of providing financial assistance for education, scholarship, medical treatment etc. Besides, he is a regular contributor to Akshay Patra Foundation, running India's largest mid-day school meal programme for children.
